Student - Property Control Assistant

Responsibilities

• Load and unload surplus items from the vehicle, doing surplus pickups as needed.
• Drive to the building location and park alongside the walkway. Never block entry walkways.
• Deliver or pick up items from the assigned location.
• Verify the computer inventory of picked-up computers to be delivered to the computer shop for hard drive wiping, then install OS to prepare for sale.
• Surplus Sale, last Friday of each month, is a mandatory workday.
• Maintain fuel and fluids in delivery vehicles (oil is to be checked each Friday before starting the vehicle).
• Report any problems with the delivery vehicle to your supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be a current UVU student.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and pass the State Driving Test.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs properly.

Skills

• Knowledge of package distribution methodology.
• Ability to operate a range of motor transport vehicles to transport packages.
• Ability to follow schedules and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently on a multi-task level and prioritize and follow projects through to completion.
