(Student Position) WCA Gallery Assistant

Position Information

This position is for the 2026-2027 academic year. Hours based on Class Schedule.

Job Summary

Gallery assistants will assist in the installation and de-installation of visiting artist exhibitions in the Whitney Gallery. Students will assist the WCA director in designing and installing all exhibitions and have the opportunity to work alongside visiting artists.

Education/Qualifications

• Good Conduct and Academic Standing with the college
• Sheridan College Student currently enrolled
• Cumulative GPA is 2.0 or greater

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Gallery assistants should have an interest in the visual arts and enjoy working with their hands, problem-solving, and have an attention to detail.
• SC Art majors will be given first priority but this position is open to all students.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

• Occasional lifting of heavy objects.
• Climbing.
