Hiring Range: Full Salary Range
Months Worked Annually: Tentatively 3 positions available
Typical Work Schedule: Flexible hours, based on class schedule

Job Summary

Aid in providing information and services to students, staff, faculty, and guests related to campus life and housing.

Qualifications

  • Reports To: Director of Campus Life and Housing
  • Education/Qualifications: Sheridan College Student currently enrolled; Cumulative GPA is 2.0 or greater
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Ability to work well with others as part of a collaborative team
    • Ability to prioritize activities and manage multiple tasks efficiently
    • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Publisher, and Excel
    • Strong interest in helping students connect with the college and enhance their college experience
    • Awareness of, and appreciation for, individual uniqueness and diversity

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

  • Ability to resolve conflict situations and make decisions under pressure
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds

Job Duties

  • Provide a professional, helpful, welcoming atmosphere and a positive attitude for all guests of the CLH Office
  • Answer phones, transfer calls, take messages, send and receive emails
  • Work with the professional staff to coordinate special projects
  • Answer questions and provide tours of residence halls to potential students
  • Communicate with the professional staff in the office on a regular basis
  • Aid in making key packets, student IDs, and other housing projects
  • Aid in advertising CLH events (digital, tabling, flyers, chalk signs, etc.)
  • Cross-trained for work in the mailroom
  • Attend all trainings and meetings as scheduled (pre-employment training in August, professional development monthly, diversity, equity and inclusion training)
  • Perform other duties as assigned
