About the role

Sovah Health – Martinsville, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Student Polysomnographic to join a team dedicated to making communities healthier. This full‑time position involves providing sleep study services under direct supervision, ensuring patient comfort, and adhering to sleep center protocols.

How You’ll Contribute

• Review the patient’s history and verify the medical order under the direct supervision of an RPSGT.
• Follow sleep center protocols related to the sleep study.
• Verify patient credentials upon arrival, collect documents, and obtain consent for the study.
• Explain the procedure and orient the patient for in‑center or out‑of‑center sleep testing.
• Select appropriate equipment and calibrate it for testing, ensuring proper functioning and making adjustments as necessary.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Enrollment in or completion of a BRPT STAR Program, AASM ASTEP Program, or equivalent respiratory care program with sleep diagnostic coursework, or possession of NBRC sleep endorsements.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to perform in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Pay

Hourly range: $17.16 – $20.38 per hour.
