Student Pharmacy Technician

About the role

Provides comprehensive non-judgmental functions related to medication management. Assists with all functions related to the practice of Pharmacy and clerical duties. Ensures lawful, compassionate, efficient, safe, and cost-effective use of medications. Collaborates with and supports all customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with medication management and pharmacy practice functions
• Perform clerical duties related to pharmacy operations
• Operate automated dispensing machines
• Adhere to federal and state pharmacy laws
• Apply knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology

Requirements

• Current Pharmacy Technician training permit or pharmacy intern license in good standing with the Indiana State Board of Pharmacy
• Pharmacy Technician license for the State of Indiana preferred
• One year of hospital experience preferred
• Knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws
• Knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology
• Knowledge of procedures for operating automated dispensing machines
