Occupational Summary
This position works with faculty in preparing labs, including set-up and clean-up of lab activities. The role also serves as a resource to students utilizing the lab for practice of psychomotor skills.
Responsibilities

- Serve as a resource to students utilizing the lab for practice of psychomotor skills.
- Ensure the lab, classroom, and storage areas are clean, safe, and organized; promote safe lab practices.
- Report the need for repairs of lab equipment to faculty.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be a student enrolled in the nursing program and in good standing.
Physical Requirements
- Occasional lifting of objects up to 30 pounds
- Walking, sitting, standing, bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motions
- Dexterity to perform nursing skills and operate equipment, including a computer
Knowledge and Experience
- Recent clinical background with knowledge of medical skills, equipment, and technology used in nursing practice
- Familiarity with lab equipment and supplies
- Understanding of safety standards and practices used in clinical and lab settings
Additional Requirements
- Commitment to working 4–6 hours per week
- Proficiency in standard office software applications
- Must be enrolled full-time at Newman University (12 credit hours or more per semester)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
