About the role

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides high-quality, patient-centered care by assisting with activities of daily living, vital signs, and data collection, reporting findings to nursing staff. They support patients with feeding, bathing, grooming, mobility, and elimination needs, ensuring a safe and organized environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living, vital signs, and data collection
• Support patients with feeding, bathing, grooming, mobility, and elimination needs
• Maintain a safe and organized environment
• Communicate effectively within the healthcare team
• Maintain infection control protocols
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives
• Perform blood glucose monitoring, sample collection, and patient positioning
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality
• Adhere to reliable attendance and safety standards

Requirements

• 0-2 years of acute care experience or enrollment in a nursing program
• Knowledge of patient care practices
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
• BCLS certification (required)
• CNA or CPCT certification (preferred)
