Student Monitor - (Yard Duty)

Job Summary BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, monitor student behavior and activity during lunchtime, breakfast, recess, or other break periods; maintain lunchroom, cafeteria, or other assigned areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition. Requirements / Qualifications Unit: CSEA Work Hours/Year: 1 to 3 Hours Daily / 10 Months (180 Days -Student Attendance Days) CSEA Range 113: Step A $20.42, Step B $21.46, Step C $22.54, Step D $23.69, Step E $24.88, Step F $26.14 APPLICATION DEADLINE: THURSDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2026 by 4:30 PM. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above. WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT: Indoor and outdoor environment, seasonal heat and cold or adverse weather conditions. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Dexterity of hands and fingers to perform cleaning duties, standing, and walking for extended time, seeing to monitor student activities, hearing, and speaking to exchange information. SELECTION & EXAMINATION: The selection process will consist of an application screening for completeness and experience. A written exam will be conducted (weighted 100%). A passing score must be achieved on the exam to be placed on the “six-month” eligibility list. Final selections will be made from those who achieve the three highest- ranking scores for each vacant position.
