Student Monitor

Summary

Maintain order among students during lunch, recess, study hall, in-school, and after school detention. Support behavior management and provide educational guidance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor students in cafeteria and during meal times.
• Absorb and demonstrate proper etiquette and manners.
• Assist with student behavior management according to district guidelines.
• Take attendance in study hall and in-school suspension/detention.
• Communicate with administration regarding behavioral concerns.
• Assist students needing additional educational guidance.
• Ensure playground safety and report issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No experience required but one year of supervisory experience in a student or classroom setting preferred.
• Experience with school-aged children preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Criminal background check required for hire.
