About the Role

Franklin Heights Church is a vibrant, multi-site, multi-generational church located in Franklin County, Virginia. Every week, nearly 2,000 people gather across our five campuses to worship, grow, and serve—experiencing the powerful work of God in our community and beyond. We are passionately committed to being a SENT church, planting and revitalizing churches locally and globally through the FHC Network. Our church is honored to be ranked among the top 20 in the nation in giving to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, in partnership with the North American Mission Board.

We are seeking a full-time Student and Discipleship Pastor to lead this ministry at our CrossPointe location, focusing on student ministry and discipleship as critical components of our mission.

Responsibilities

  • Cast the vision and communicate the philosophy of ministry to students.
  • Completely oversee Student Ministries, including Wednesday night student service, Student Connect Groups, weekly outreach to local middle and high schools, and all major ministry events.
  • Develop a passion for unreached students within all Student Ministry areas.
  • Secure, train, nurture, and develop a highly committed team of volunteers to execute the vision of Franklin Heights Student Ministry.
  • Equip, organize, and delegate the work of the ministry through this volunteer team.
  • Provide counseling to students and parents when needed; make pastoral visits to students, families, and other church members and guests.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings.
  • Be respectful, a faithful tither, and supportive in prayers and actions of the vision of Franklin Heights Church outlined by the Senior Pastor.
  • Serve as the primary leader for Franklin Heights Student Ministry, providing vision, leadership, and strategic direction to ensure a unified, effective ministry across all campuses.

Requirements

  • Passionate follower of Jesus with a heart for ministry.
  • Strong Biblical foundation, capable of effectively teaching the truths of God’s Word and modeling spiritual maturity.
  • Team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Student Ministry experience required.
