About the Role

The Student Ministries Pastor will passionately minister to students (6th–12th grade) and their families, volunteers, and staff under the supervision of the Executive Pastor of Family Life. This role focuses on making disciples and leading students to engage with God’s global mission, growing the ministry from 125 regularly attending students to 200 connected students and beyond, reaching the 20,000 students across 7 local high schools and feeder schools.

FBC Peachtree City is experiencing steady growth in a community where the gospel is needed, offering two contemporary worship services on Sundays and a modified Wednesday night schedule. Through the Bridge Community Center, the church actively connects with the local community and supports 36 strategic global mission partners.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an engaged team player on the ministry staff, contributing to the overall mission of the church.
  • Make and grow disciples personally and through the student ministry, leading and overseeing LIFE Groups, worship experiences, and missional/discipling events (camps, retreats, DNow, mission trips).
  • Oversee the effective use of ministry resources, engage with students, families, volunteers, vendors, and the community, and manage the student ministry budget and financial processes.
  • Prepare and deliver messages for middle school and high school large-group gatherings, addressing relevant topics creatively for each age group.
  • Develop and grow leaders within the student ministry, supervising staff and volunteers to achieve ministry goals through effective communication.
  • Model consistent Christ-like character, biblical stewardship, and commitment to the church’s mission and leadership.
  • Recruit, train, and equip leaders for student ministries, demonstrating strong biblical teaching and preaching skills with proven student teaching experience.
  • Administer the student ministry with excellent organizational and strategic skills, proficient in office software and audio/video/computer resources for ministry.

Qualifications

  • College or seminary degree preferred.
  • Proven experience leading student ministries with a strong biblical teaching and preaching background.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to write and engage people effectively.
  • Experience in recruitment, training, and development of student ministry leaders.
  • Proficiency in organization, strategic processes, and computer/software for office and ministry use.
