Student Ministries Pastor

About the role

Gordon Heights Baptist Church seeks a Student Ministries Pastor to lead the ministry of students and children. The role includes overseeing spiritual growth from pre-k through high school graduation, leading youth and children's ministries, and working with parents to disciple their children.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly Bible studies and summer camps for students
• Coordinate local mission opportunities for students
• Plan and coordinate camps, VBS, and other activities
• Work with volunteers to ensure a safe, healthy, and fun environment
• Disciple students and children, and minister to unchurched/unbelieving parents
• Model strong Christian leadership and speak in the pulpit when necessary

Requirements

• Relatable to students and children
• Passionate about Jesus and his teachings
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong relational Christian leadership
• Experience working with youth and children
• Ability to lead and mentor a team of volunteers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (ministry, education, etc.)
• Experience in youth and children's ministry
• Passion for reaching students and families with the gospel
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
