STUDENT PASTOR
YM360 - Youth Ministry 360, Inc. · Huntsville, AL · 2 mo ago
OTHRFull-time
About the role
The Student Pastor will provide vision and pastoral leadership for 6th–12th grade student ministry at the Downtown Campus. This includes casting and executing a discipleship-focused ministry strategy in alignment with Rivertree’s overall mission, leading a growing team of volunteers, and building the kinds of relationships with students and families that change lives.
Responsibilities
- Leading and developing engaging weekly programming for middle and high school students
- Recruiting, training, and investing in a passionate volunteer leadership team
- BUILDING deep, consistent relationships with students — in and outside of church programming
- PARTNERING with parents as the primary disciple-makers of their children
- COLLAPING with student staff across Rivertree’s campuses on shared events, retreats, and camps
- DELIVERING gospel-centered teaching during student gatherings and, occasionally, Sunday morning worship
Requirements
- Rivertree is looking for a leader whose faith is genuine — not just professional.
- You ARE Gospel-driven. Your love for Jesus is the foundation of your leadership, not a credential on your application.
- You ARE Relational and present. You show up for students — at games, in hallways, in hard conversations. You’re someone students and parents genuinely trust.
- You ARE a Builder and developer. You know how to recruit, equip, and inspire volunteers. You multiply your impact by developing others.
- You ARE Collaborative by nature. You thrive in a multi-campus environment and see other staff as partners, not competition.
- You ARE a Learner. You’re always growing, open to feedback, and hungry to get better at your craft.
- You ARE Productive and self-directed. You take initiative and follow through without needing to be managed closely.
- A college or seminary degree in student ministries, theology, or ministry leadership is preferred, along with proven experience leading and growing a student ministry.

- You LOVE students, you LOVE the local church, and you BELIEVE disciple-making is the most important work in the world.
