Digital Initiatives is seeking a student employee for the semester. This position begins as soon as agreed upon and ends on a determined basis. No more than 20 hours per week is allowed for all combined student positions.
Pay
$15.00/hour
Schedule
- Hours of operation: 9am – 5pm, Monday-Friday
- Expected work hours: 6-10 hours/week
- Duration: Semester, potentially ongoing
Location
Howard-Tilton Memorial Library, 6th Floor
Responsibilities
- Work on accessibility services including transcribing audiovisual content and creating closed captions for videos using Adobe Premiere
- Occasional assistance with audiovisual productions
- Assistance with special projects as needed
Training will be provided for all tasks.
Requirements
- Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Interest in libraries, archives, digital collections, or cultural heritage materials
- Comfortable learning new technologies, software, and digital workflows through training
