Responsibilities
- Provide supportive interaction and engagement with residents in a safe and structured environment
- Assist with individual supportive counseling under supervision
- Support the development and implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and goal planning
- Participate in and help facilitate group activities and house meetings
- Auxiliary in independent living skills development and daily living support
- Make referrals and provide resource linkage to community-based services
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes
- Collaborate with residential staff to support resident needs and program goals
- Assist with intakes, orientation, and transition planning as needed
- Attend supervision, staff meetings, and required trainings
- Assume other tasks, projects, or responsibilities as needed to ensure the effective operation of the program
Qualifications
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field
- Interest in working with at-risk youth in a residential or shelter setting
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Willingness to learn and apply trauma-informed and youth-centered approaches
