Responsibilities
- Educate and develop independent living skills in foster care children referred by the Department of Social Services.
- Conduct monthly home and community visits.
- Aid in developing and facilitating Independent Living Skills Workshops.
- Complete a Step Up Independent Living assessment and treatment plan in partnership with client, foster family and caseworker.
- Maintain client case records, reports and correspondence.
- Cook up service efforts with DSS caseworker regarding client's plan.
- Attend conferences, trainings and workshops as appropriate.
Qualifications
- MSW Generalist (1st year): 15 hours/week
- MSW Specialized (2nd year): 15 hours/week
- Relevant knowledge and/or experience working with high need individuals/families.
- Excellent verbal and written skills-including public speaking skills.
- Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel).
Schedule
Flexible-M/F based on program needs. Monday nights required. Fall 2026/Spring 2027 Academic School Year.
