Student Intern - High School WebStars (Marin City, West Marin)

About the role

The Marin County Free Library (MCFL) is seeking interns for the WebStars program at three locations: Marin City Library, West Marin, and South Novato. The program provides hands-on training and work experience, including virtual reality demonstrations, learning library equipment, and assisting local organizations.

Responsibilities

• Helping patrons at the computers in the library
• Teaching classes
• Helping with various library-related tasks
• Virtual Reality demonstrations
• Learning The Lab equipment
• Helping local organizations with technology needs

Requirements

• Maintains High School enrollment for the duration of the internship
• Reliable transportation to their assigned work location
• Responsible, mature, and motivated to learn
• Interested in working directly with the public

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a high school academic or vocational curriculum or within one year of graduating
• Under 18 years old must secure a work permit from their high school district before being employed
