Student Intern, Food Services
About the role
Reports to the food services supervisor or designee. Assists the cooks and cook helpers in preparation of student meals in compliance with government and management directives.
Responsibilities
- Performs clean-up and sanitation duties in the food preparation, storage and dish room areas to ensure adequate health standards at all times.
- Provides adequate supply of food and transfers merchandise ingredients to cooking area as instructed by the cook or designee.
- Student snack bar, clean outside area and other duties as assigned in the Admin Building.
Requirements
- Must be a current Job Corps Center Student currently enrolled in the Culinary Arts program.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be reliable and willing to work evenings and some weekends.
- Must be in good standing with a privilege level of at least Silver and have been on Center for a minimum of 90 days.
Qualifications
Must be a completer and ready for work-based learning.
