Class meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9:00–9:50 AM, and Tuesday and Thursday at 11:30 AM–12:45 PM.
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting and managing laboratory activities related to sports medicine.
- Provide support during in-class activities, including splinting, taping, modalities, monitoring vitals, and instructional support.
- Help students understand and execute test protocols accurately and safely.
- Engage in objective grading of assignments and laboratory practical assessments.
- Conduct meetings with students to assist them in completing their final projects, offering guidance, and clarifying course material as needed.
- Collaborate with the course instructor to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive learning experience.
- Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and ethical standards in the laboratory.
Requirements
- Must be a current UVU student.
- Must have completed the UVU course ESXC 2500.
Skills
- Strong foundation in sports medicine testing and principles.
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting, particularly with the equipment used throughout sports medicine, is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students.
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff members.
