Student Imaging Aide

About the role

Under the general supervision of an Imaging Technologist, assists in the assigned department modality to provide timely throughput of all patients by assisting technologists and clerical staff with various tasks. This temporary 12-month position is designed to help students develop technical skills, build confidence, and prepare for national certification and future employment at Wayne Memorial Hospital as a Registered General Radiology Technician.

Responsibilities

• Assist Imaging Technologists and clerical staff with various tasks to ensure timely patient throughput.
• Develop technical skills and gain practical experience in Diagnostic Imaging.
• Prepare for national certification and future employment at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Currently enrolled in an approved Radiology Technologist Program as a senior/second-year student.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Must obtain a radiological technologist license within one year.
• BLS Certification.

Ideal candidates will continue to work for Wayne Memorial Hospital upon graduation.
