Student hourly employees will work in the School of Education's Learning Resource Center, assisting students, faculty, and staff while maintaining the center, computer labs, and mediated classrooms.
Responsibilities
- 60% – Assist students, faculty, and staff with resources available in the Learning Resource Center.
- 40% – Maintenance and support of the Learning Resource Center areas, computer labs, and mediated classrooms.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a position requiring good communication and customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge.
- During the semester term of the appointment, must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods, must meet one of the following:
- Enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester, or
- Pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours, or
- Enrolled in summer session, or
- Admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester.
- May be undergraduate or graduate students (exceptions for GRA/GTA/GA appointments do not apply).
- Student employees are not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by unit leadership and HR.
- Cannot hold an hourly/non-exempt position and a salaried/exempt graduate or undergraduate position (GRA/GTA/GA/RUA/RGA) concurrently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Good working knowledge of children's literature.
- Dependable and able to work well with little supervision.
Pay
$10.25 per hour
