Student Enrolment Advisor
About the role
Boreal Education is an EdTech company that empowers Canadian post-secondary institutions to grow and develop distance, hybrid and online education programs. We’re looking for Enrolment Advisors to join the Boreal team to identify the right-fit students for our University programs and build on the foundation for our growth as we scale up operations.
As an Enrolment Advisor, you will play a crucial role in guiding prospective students through the enrolment process, serving as a point of contact for students, providing them with information about our university’s programs, and assisting them with their applications.
Responsibilities
- Connecting with and responding to potential students as their primary point of contact through phone, video call, email, and live chat.
- Interviewing and advising prospective students using a consultative approach, excellent sales and customer service skills to guide them through the admissions and registration process.
- Managing your pipeline of interested students and leveraging your program knowledge to ensure students have all the information they need to complete their applications to the program.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of student interactions and progress in our CRM system.
- Participating in industry events and representing the University in a professional and positive manner.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service and sales skills, with the ability to affect outcomes and achieve goals through trust building, relationship development, needs analysis, and problem solving.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to consult and liaise with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to organize and prioritize multiple issues/tasks of varying priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with ambiguity to effectively monitor and coordinate a workload while contributing to a team.
- Previous experience in student advising or admissions is helpful but not required.
- A degree in a relevant field from a recognized university.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.

Schedule
We are a remote-first company based in Toronto, meaning we trust that you do your best work at home. We meet up in the GTA for social events and three times per year for team-wide offsites.
