Student Employment Recruiter

This position reports directly to the Director of Career Services and involves facilitating career development and job readiness for graduates, leading to successful job placements. The role requires collaboration with students, graduates, employers, and interdepartmental leaders to meet and exceed placement goals.

Responsibilities

• Graduates
  • Regularly produce job opportunities by actively marketing graduates to employers: present resumes, secure interviews, and conduct follow-up with employers and graduates.
  • Work closely with current and previous-year cohorts of graduates.
  • Obtain, verify, and record graduate employment data, including employment and waiver information.
  • Maintain regular contact with graduates within assigned programs and document interactions in CampusVue.
• Employers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers to facilitate graduate job placements.
  • Follow up on job leads from internet postings, newspapers, and internal campus staff; initiate job lead campaigns.
  • Consistently develop job leads resulting in graduate placements in their field of study through personal contact and technology.
  • Provide support to employers seeking to fill positions, including conducting needs assessments and follow-up.
  • Request and gather employer feedback via surveys and interview feedback.
  • Maintain the employer database (CampusVue).
  • Support and/or organize Program Advisory Committee Meetings with the Education Team, Director of Career Services, Campus Managers, and other staff.
  • Assist in organizing on-campus job fairs, identify external job fairs, invite employers to speak to students, and arrange on-campus mock interviews.
• Current Students
  • Facilitate career development workshops in and out of the classroom, and assist students with employment documents (resumes, cover letters, applications).
  • Build relationships with students through personal contact.
  • Conduct exit interviews and needs assessment meetings using multiple technology options.
  • Coordinate with the Extern Coordinator to develop job orders from extern sites to meet Extern to Hire (ETH) placement expectations.
• Administrative
  • Contribute to the Career Services Department in meeting and exceeding Charter College and accreditation placement goals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, employers, graduates, and staff through personal communication (in-person, email, technology).
  • Accurately record all activities in CampusVue to meet company placement goals.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2 years’ experience in career services or employment background in any of the following:
  • Job Placement department at a vocational school, college, or university.
  • Staffing agency.
  • Recruiting.
  • Marketing/New Business Development/Sales.
  • Customer service.
• Specific industry experience in Charter College’s fields: Allied Health, Business, IT, and/or Accounting.
• Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Exceptional organizational skills and strong oral/written communication skills.
• Team-oriented approach.
• Experience with CampusVue is a plus.
• Sales experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Ability to commute to Pasco, WA 99301 and relocate before starting work (required).

Pay

Hourly wage range: $19.00 - $23.56 (dependent on experience, knowledge, and education level).

Schedule

• 8-hour shift (day shift).
