Responsibilities
- Provides advising to students during one-to-one or group appointments about on-campus employment, qualification, the application and hiring process, success as a student employee, and career goals alignment.
- Further develops and creates new student employment opportunities across campus, ensuring consistency in onboarding and training processes, and professional development opportunities for students and hiring managers.
- Collaborates with Financial Aid regarding Federal Work Study aid, eligibility, and program compliance.
- Maintains student confidentiality in accordance with FERPA regulations, verifies student information, evaluates eligibility, performs data entry of financial aid documents, and assists with recruiting events.
- Attends and participates in workshops and meetings related to student employment, monitors Federal Work Study limits, and notifies students and supervisors when limits are met.
- Aids in the creation and implementation of trainings, workshops, and presentations for students and hiring managers regarding student employment opportunities, position descriptions, and software usage.
- Monitors and manages student employment transactions, including hiring, rehiring, terminations, job description updates, and postings.
- Works evening and weekend shifts as needed.
- Completes other projects as required.
Requirements
- Knowledge: Basic knowledge of Federal and State financial aid regulations and programs. Clerical - Thorough knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology. Customer and Personal Service - Working knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to work flexible hours in the evenings and weekends.
- Abilities: Near Vision - Must be able to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). May be required to work nights or weekends. Travel - Must be able to travel on a daily and/or overnight basis. May be exposed to short, intermittent, and/or prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing in performance of job duties. May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment/supplies, to include but not limited to pens, pencils, mobile devices, and computer keyboards.
Qualifications
- Required Education: Associate’s degree Major (if Required Required Experience: Associate's degree and two (2) years’ experience working at a postsecondary educational institution, preferably in financial aid or a closely related area. -OR- Bachelor's Degree and up to two (2) years’ experience working at a postsecondary educational institution, preferably in financial aid or a closely related area.
