Purpose of Job
Improve the overall health of the communities we serve by performing reception, scheduling, phone and general clerical support duties as follows:
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Completes various administrative tasks as assigned.
- Assists at reception desk greeting patients, employees and visitors upon arrival.
- Professionally answers calls, takes messages and/or refers callers to appropriate individuals.
- Faxes, scans and photo copies as directed.
- Performs other duties assigned, including supporting the CHAS Health Mission and Core Values.
Qualifications
- Must be a current high school student of junior or senior status.
- Strong written and oral communication skills required.
- Computer skills required.
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail required.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality required.
- Commitment to supporting a safe and respectful environment is required.
Physical Demands
- Stand, sit and be mobile one-third to two-thirds of the time.
- Use hands to finger, handle or feel over two-thirds of the time; while reaching with hands and arms occurs one-third of the day.
- Climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling or crouching occurs less than one-third of the time.
- Communicating occurs constantly throughout the day.
- Lifts occur about half the time up to 10 lbs and less than one-third of the day from 25-40 lbs. Rarely is there a need to lift more than 41 lbs.
