Student Campus Supervisor I - IN-HOUSE

About the role

Promote positive student behavior to assure compliance with school rules and maintain a safe environment. Enforce school and District rules, regulations and policies for the safety and security of students, staff and property according to established procedures. Supervise, monitor and control school campus and parking areas to assure facilities are properly secured. Assist visitors with campus orientation and directions. Observe and control behavior of students and determine if unauthorized visitors are on the premises. Approach visitors to determine the reasons for their presence and provide assistance.

Responsibilities

• Promote positive student behavior to assure compliance with school rules and maintain a safe environment.
• Enforce school and District rules, regulations and policies for the safety and security of students, staff and property according to established procedures.
• Supervise, monitor and control school campus and parking areas to assure facilities are properly secured.
• Absorb and direct behavior of students.
• Determine if unauthorized visitors are on the premises.
• Approach visitors to determine the reasons for their presence and provide assistance.
• Complete various records and reports.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Completion of twelfth grade, supplemented by training or course work in crowd control, behavior modification techniques, or closely related field.
• Completion or enrollment in a school security training course that meets the SB1626 requirements.
• One year of experience working with targeted age students performing supervision and campus control or other appropriate related work experience.
