Responsibilities

• Safely operate transit buses along assigned routes and schedules
• Provide excellent customer service and assist passengers as needed, including those with disabilities
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain accurate ridership and operational records
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and fellow drivers via radio or mobile data system
• Follow all departmental policies, traffic laws, and safety regulations

Qualifications

• Must be a current USF student graduating no sooner than May 2027
• Must have a Florida Driver's License, a safe driving record, with at least 1 year of experience driving in the United States
• Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with passenger and air brake endorsement

Preferred Qualifications

• Training provided for qualified applicants; CDL permit required before training begins
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety and service
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and maintain a professional appearance
