Essential Functions

• Ability to pass swim test.
• Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently (both in person and in writing).
• Ability to interact in an effective and appropriate manner with diverse populations, the University community, and the public.
• Ability to use sound judgment in decision-making and personal interactions.
• Ability to accept responsibility for decisions and personal actions.
• Ability to follow directions and complete assigned tasks.
• Ability to follow APSU guidelines, policies, procedures, and emergency preparedness.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with students, University personnel, and guests.
• Ability to provide lifesaving and/or water-safety techniques for all participants.
