Visa Information

TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide circulation desk coverage, helping patrons with reservations, printing needs, and answering phones.
• Maintain printers and scanning stations, including filling with paper and checking toner.
• Clean and maintain circulation counter and study areas, including regular disinfecting.

Employees may perform other related duties assigned by their immediate supervisor.

Requirements

• A student enrolled in at least six hours at an institution of higher education other than Texas Tech University or Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

• Pay Basis: Hourly
• Pay Grade Minimum: $7.25
• Pay Grade Maximum: $10.25

Schedule

Part-time, shift work during the following library hours:

• Monday - Thursday: 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.
• Friday: 7:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
• Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• Sunday: 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
