Student Assistant (Engineering and Architectural Sciences)

About the role

Under the supervision of the Senior Engineer, Water Resources of the Technical Evaluations Unit (TEU), the A&E Student Assistant assists engineers with watershed-based hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) computer model development and application. The incumbent will also support other technical work on scientific publication research and development, data collection, H&H model development and application, instrumentation, and monitoring in support of TEU projects and program activities.

This is a hybrid, student assistant position located in Sacramento County.

Responsibilities

• Assist with watershed-based hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) computer model development and application
• Support scientific publication research and development
• Collect and analyze data for H&H models
• Assist with instrumentation and monitoring activities
• Contribute to TEU projects and program activities

Requirements

• Current enrollment in an accredited college or university in engineering, architecture, or a related field

Pay

$18.27 - $28.16 per hour
