Student: Engineer Assistant
About the role
The Student Engineer will assist engineers in developing tactical sensor technologies, focusing on radar systems and RF hardware engineering. Tasks include design, modeling, component selection, procurement, assembly, integration, testing, data analysis, troubleshooting, and support for flight testing of radar systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, model, and select components for radar systems and RF hardware
- Procure and assemble hardware elements
- Integrate hardware systems and test performance
- Analyze data and troubleshoot hardware issues
- Support flight testing of radar systems
Requirements
- Attending Utah State University pursuing an Electrical Engineering degree
- At least one year of school remaining
- Able to work 15-20 hours per week during semesters and up to 40 hours per week during summer
- Experience or interest in electronics, computers, robotics, electromagnetics, digital logic, remote sensing, MATLAB, C++
- A U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
