Student Assistant - Architectural | Fall 2026

About the role

The Architectural Intern supports the Planning team within the Space and Facilities Planning department, specifically the New Hospital team. They provide support in medical equipment coordination, life safety reviews, reviewing submittals and RFI's, picking up redlines, and updating equipment drawings using Revit. The Intern works closely with the tower team and Coordinators on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Planning team in the Space and Facilities Planning department, particularly the New Hospital team.
  • Provides support in medical equipment coordination, life safety reviews, reviewing submittals and RFI's, picking up redlines, and updating equipment drawings using Revit.
  • Works closely with the tower team and Coordinators on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • Working toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, landscape architecture, interior design or a similar degree.
  • Completed at least 2 semesters of coursework related to the degree.
  • Dependable and organized, with good communication skills (verbal, written, graphic).
  • Able to work in 2-4 hour blocks of time and a minimum of 8 hours per week during regular business hours.
  • Capable of working up to a maximum of 35 hours per week.

Qualifications

Working toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, landscape architecture, interior design or a similar degree. Completed at least 2 semesters of coursework related to the degree.

Skills

Must be able to work in 2-4 hour blocks of time and a minimum of 8 hours per week during regular business hours. Able to work up to a maximum of 35 hours per week.
