About the role
The Department of State Hospitals - Napa, Rehabilitation Therapy Services Department seeks a Student Assistant - Music Therapy Intern.
Responsibilities
- Provide rehabilitative programs and services through appropriate individual assessment, treatment, service planning, therapeutic activities, discharge planning and community reintegration.
- Utilize the principles and practices of music therapy to develop, maintain, or restore physical, emotional, and social competencies.
Requirements
Applicants must have completed an appropriate college or university program and be enrolled as a student.
Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates who have completed an internship in music therapy.
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
