Position Overview

Strategos Consulting is seeking a Student Affair Liaisons in pursuit of a government contract. Located at Stennis Space Center, MS, this position offers flexible work hours, standard business hours from 0700-1800, and may include weeknights and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining effective communications with Security Cooperation Offices at U.S. Embassies and Military Departments to facilitate security assistance and security cooperation training.
  • Absorb and assess International Military Student information prior to their arrival to coordinate with NASA via IdMAX system, and assist with security assistance actions or planning for future events.
  • Aid in planning and executing student reports, memoranda, and papers as necessary, ensuring clarity and effectiveness.
  • Provide accurate and timely centralized pay services in the form of Temporary Living Allowances to International Military Students via NETSAFA and DFAS.
  • Process a variety of complex pay cases requiring comprehensive review and in-depth research to determine discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Affirm the accuracy of Official ID Card Operator - DEERS/RAPIDS.
  • Responsible for accountability, control, verification, and issuance of military identification cards and Common Access Cards (CAC) for International Military Students and other eligible recipients.
  • Support customer service by passing Verification Official certification, managing self towards achieving higher-level objectives, and working reliably with minimal supervision.
  • Perform all ID Card and CAC issuance related tasks including research, verification, and discussion of entitlements as defined in AFI 36-3026(I) and the RAPIDS Training Guide.
  • Issue memorandums of authorization for use of Commissary and Post Exchange to eligible customers, as well as Government ID Cards (DA Form 1602) to eligible Government employees.
  • Perform routine maintenance on computers and printers, such as changing ribbons, adding toner and developer, and cleaning printers.
  • Revise and print correspondence in the proper format under applicable regulations and guidelines and prepare weekly and monthly reports of work and work activities.
  • Support the International Military Student Officer (IMSO) with administrative and logistical tasks, including direct support of all IMS, travel arrangements, student indoctrination, and maintaining the student tracking matrix.
  • Coordinate transportation requirements in support of the Field Studies Program (FSP) events.
  • Perform pre-operational maintenance on vehicles, such as cleaning, picking up debris, checking and adding fluids, such as wiper fluid as needed.
  • Provide Spanish language assistance to facilitate communications during educational and cultural excursions, graduations, official visits, field trips, IMSO Support, airport runs, and student indoctrination.
  • Afford support to the key security program for the barracks.
  • Order all logistical office and barracks supplies.

Qualifications

Customer Service skills are a must. The incumbent must be able to pass requirements for Verification Official certification with attendant duties and responsibilities, manage self toward achievement of higher-level objectives, and work reliably with normal supervision.
