Junior Security Analyst - SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED

About the role

Responsible for conducting security assessments, monitoring network activity, and responding to security incidents. Ensures compliance with all security policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conducts security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential threats.
• Maintains awareness of current security trends and implements appropriate countermeasures.
• Monitors network activity for anomalies and potential breaches.
• Responds to security incidents in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborates with IT staff to enhance overall security posture.

Requirements

• Secured clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in cybersecurity or related field.
• Experience with SIEM tools and intrusion detection systems.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of common security protocols and best practices.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
• Experience with cloud-based security solutions.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements.

Skills

• Advanced knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with SIEM tools like Splunk or QRadar.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
