Student Account Representative

About the Role

The Student Account Representative plays a key role in providing exceptional customer service while supporting the College’s student financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Process payments to student accounts, including tuition, fees, housing, and meal plans.
• Receive and reconcile departmental deposits.
• Assist students, parents, faculty, staff, and community members with payment-related services, including meal plan purchases and account inquiries.
• Balance and reconcile daily cash receipts.
• Prepare student refund checks.
• Administer payment plans.
• Perform a variety of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated initiative, dependability, and strong customer service orientation.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
• Previous experience in cashiering, accounting, student accounts, or a related financial services role in higher education or a similar customer-focused environment.

Pay

Anticipated salary: $38,480

• This position is based in Wise, Virginia, situated in the far southwestern corner of the state near the Kentucky and Tennessee borders.
