Student Account Representative

This position plays a key role in providing exceptional customer service while supporting the College's student financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Process payments to student accounts, including tuition, fees, housing, and meal plans.
• Receive and reconcile departmental deposits.
• Assist students, parents, faculty, staff, and community members with payment-related services, including meal plan purchases and account inquiries.
• Balance and reconcile daily cash receipts.
• Prepare student refund checks.
• Administer payment plans.
• Perform a variety of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated initiative, dependability, and strong customer service orientation.

Qualifications

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
• Previous experience in cashiering, accounting, student accounts, or a related financial services role in higher education or a similar customer-focused environment.

Pay

Anticipated Salary: $38,480

Background checks will be conducted on all new hires prior to employment.

Location

This position is based in Wise, Virginia, situated in the far southwestern corner of the state near the Kentucky and Tennessee borders.
