Responsibilities

  • Auditing and processing VA and VOC refunds for active and inactive students.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely processing of VA and VOC refunds, meeting internal policies and procedures and complying with VA regulatory requirements.
  • Reviewing each VA/VO refund request to ensure timely completion and measuring workload for the week.
  • Preparing and submitting a weekly spreadsheet to Accounting for refund processing.
  • Updating and logging new debt letters in the Master spreadsheet twice a week.
  • Submitting a daily flash report with productivity to your supervisor.
  • Maintaining deadlines detailed on the VA/VOC refund checklist to ensure timely completion of all requests.
  • Collaborating with the Military Affairs Team to resolve VA funding issues affecting eligibility before issuing refunds.
  • Understanding military programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Auditing each VA/VO refund request for compliance and accuracy.
  • Reviewing regulations related to VA/VO fund sources, forms, and debt letters.
  • Attending VA conferences and webinars as available.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional experience.
  • A minimum of an Associate's degree is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred.
