About the role

Education is at an inflection point. Universities are quickly evolving and new technologies are reshaping the education experience. We are Utah Valley University — the largest student enrollment among public universities in the state, with approximately 41,000 students. We are one of a growing number of institutions in the nation offering an integrated dual-mission model that combines the rigor and richness of a first-rate teaching university with the openness and vocational programs of a community college.

With online technologies constantly adapting and changing to meet the needs of today’s Higher Education institutions, the Accessibility Remediation Team in the Office of Teaching & Learning helps UVU students have access to the most accessible course resources they need to achieve their education goals. We are looking to expand our dedicated team with a detailed individual who is passionate about student success and enjoys tedious, precise work.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will encompass supporting instructional design and support services staff by remediating documents to comply with accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.0). Training will be provided. This position may also be amenable to an internship for certain majors.
