Structures Technician II

About the Role

Performs routine general maintenance throughout all of Hendrick Medical Center. Demonstrates basic knowledge and ability to perform plumbing and electrical tasks, with some understanding of codes and standards relating to healthcare. Responsible for completing work orders, preventive maintenance (PM’s), and addressing compliance issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance across the medical center.
• Handle plumbing and electrical tasks with basic proficiency.
• Understand and apply relevant healthcare codes and standards.
• Complete work orders and preventive maintenance (PM’s).
• Address compliance-related issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months of relevant work experience.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Skills & Working Conditions

• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Exposure to all types of weather conditions.
• Exposure to risk of diseases and electrical/mechanical power equipment.
• Work in precarious or high locations (e.g., ladders, scaffolding).
• Occasionally subject to irregular hours.
• Interaction with neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
• Ability to handle emergency or crisis situations.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work independently, including shift work.
