Structures Team Lead - Moving I-4 Forward

RS&H is seeking a Structures Team Lead to join the Moving I-4 Forward Program Office in Celebration, FL. This is an embedded, full-time position reporting to the office five days per week.

About the role

As part of the infrastructure team, you will serve as a team expert and/or project lead, preparing project specifications, complete project documents, analysis, and reports. Responsibilities include:

• Analyzing and interpreting data
• Performing analyses of design, planning, and impact studies, as well as cost analyses, design requirements, site selection, and limited design layouts
• Designing complete projects, systems, components, and/or processes
• Preparing project documents, engineering analysis, and reports
• Performing quality control reviews and ensuring achievement of key milestones
• Performing field reviews and observations of ongoing construction projects
• Providing technical guidance and assigning tasks to junior and support staff for project duration
• Managing discipline and small multidisciplinary teams to ensure company and project contractual compliance
• Managing a small team of direct reports

Requirements

• Degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program and 10 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Professional engineer in good standing
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances
• Proficiency in production software and construction document production
• Proven ability to address challenging or potentially controversial issues in a sound, professional, and business-like manner
• Experience working on parts of major projects or multiple moderate-size projects, providing technical guidance to junior-level staff, including reviewing others' work for technical accuracy
• Experience participating in the design and implementation of new services, processes, standards, or operational plans with significant impact on functional results
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders
