Structural Steel Welder - Newport, KY

What You Will Do

• Weld structural steel connections for new and retrofit steel erection projects.
• Inspect welds as necessary to meet product specifications.
• Fitting, connecting, and bolting up of structural steel.
• Steel cutting with a torch and grinding.
• Assist with steel erection, connecting, and bolting up.
• Equipment rigging.
• Pre-engineered metal building erection.
• Follow job site safety and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Identify safety hazards to protect self and others.

What You Will Bring

• Must be able to certify in stick structural welding.
• OSHA 10/30 Certified, preferred. Certification will be required before starting the position (paid by company).
• Lift trained.
• RTF and forklift experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Candidates must have transportation and good communication skills.
• Willing to work within a 50-mile radius.
• Willingness to travel to other states for work is a plus!
• Ability to work in a variety of seasonal and weather conditions.

Abilities

• Possess all auditory, speaking, and communicating capabilities.
• Possess physical abilities: standing, walking, bending, twisting, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs., seeing, and reading.
