About the role
Drafting and fabrication of structural steel utilizing fully parametric models in Revit and Advanced Steel. Create steel models that can be used for shop fabrication. Utilize Stratus to package all scope and convey fabrication files to shop machinery. Provide all drawings required to support fabrication and installation of structural steel. Be part of the MEP and shop fabrication team to create field deliverables in a timely fashion.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Revit to detail structural steel framing.
- Utilize Advanced Steel to create shop drawings and NC files for fabrication.
- Work as part of the MEP team to create a clash free model.
- Work directly with structural engineers to convert design information into a fabricable model.
- Utilize Navisworks.
- Create steel shop drawings.
- Collaborate with all members on the Hermanson team.
- Communicate effectively with other individuals.
Requirements
- High School education or GED.
- Technical training and/or experience utilizing drawing software.
- Understanding of construction documents.
- Construction steel expertise, from design, fabrication, and installation.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to utilize Revit, Advanced Steel, ACAD, Navisworks, and Stratus.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to talk or hear.
- Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; and use hands to finger, handle, and feel.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
Work Environment
The majority of the work will be in the office, with occasional work in the field/shop where noise levels are moderate to loud.

Pay
$95,000.00 to $115,000.00 (The compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience).
