About the role

The Structural Project Engineer / Project Manager will join Lochmueller Group's growing Structural Engineering team in Missouri. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the design and maintenance of bridges and other man-made structures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform as a project engineer and/or project manager on a variety of DOT and local agency projects related to bridge design
  • Apply advanced, specialized knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of bridge design
  • Work on a major project or several major projects of moderate scope with complex features
  • Lead the preparation of complete design and construction documents for bridge projects
  • Plan and coordinate aspects of the engineering work
  • Provide bridge inspection services
  • Absorb and assist management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor
  • Prepare scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments
  • Absorb and assist with preparation of proposals and funding applications
  • May be involved in other various responsibilities and projects as opportunities present themselves

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering; Structural emphasis is helpful
  • Professional Engineer (PE)
  • 8+ years of Structural Engineering experience with an emphasis on bridge design projects
  • Experience with project management and accounting software is beneficial
  • Exceptional organization skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team

Qualifications
