Structural Packaging Engineer

Responsibilities
- Supports the development of documents defining product, product assembly, and packaging of retail finished goods.
- Reviews capability of partner quality management system to assess product safety, compliance, and quality risks.
- Provides technical or mechanical support to internal and external teams to ensure products are manufactured and packaged in accordance with specifications.
- Conducts production part performance evaluations following internal and industrial test standards. Provides engineering solutions based on test result analysis.
- Performs root cause analysis in response to nonconformance. Designs corrective actions and solutions to reduce defects with minimal cost.
- Designs, tests, and implements tools to support production operations.
- Supports management of NOA Corrective Action Request (CAR) initiatives.
- Provides input and recommendations for design validation testing to qualify new components and packaging materials.
- May rely on experience with fabrication processes, equipment, and materials to tailor designs to achieve the most practical balance of quality, speed, and cost.
Requirements
- 3 or more years of related engineering experience.
- Working experience within an ISO-9001 environment preferred.
- Working experience with exposure from product specification through to production phase preferred.
- Theoretical knowledge of environmental, vibration, compression, and impact stress testing methodologies preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of packaging materials and associated performance testing protocols (Nintendo Standards, ISTA).
- Electronics testing experience preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer certification preferred.
- Valid passport required.

Pay
The base pay range for this role is [Base Pay Range]. Potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus is also available.
