Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Aid in managing and leading projects
• Create complete sets of structural drawings and technical specifications independently
• Train and mentor Engineers-In-Training (EITs) in structural engineering
• Carry out structural design calculations, oversee project document preparation, and maintain a quality control program
• Support and assist with construction phase tasks on building projects in structural engineering
• Participate in meetings and presentations with clients, contractors, and design team members
• Identify project opportunities through networking with new and existing clients

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of relevant engineering design experience
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketchup for drawing and detail creation
• Knowledge and experience in structural analysis and design software such as STAAD, RAM, E-Tabs, MathCAD, TEDDS, ADAPT PT, and others
• Strong sense of urgency and self-discipline to meet client deadlines
• Attention to detail and ability to contribute positively to a team environment
• Effective communication, leadership, and technical skills with a focus on personal and professional development
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
