Responsibilities
- Aid in the management and direction of projects
- Create complete sets of structural drawings and technical specifications independently
- Train and mentor Engineers-In-Training (EITs) in structural engineering
- Carry out structural design calculations, organize project activities, and prepare documents for submission, while adhering to a quality control program
- Participate in construction phases of building projects in structural engineering
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and design team members during meetings and presentations
- Identify project opportunities through networking with new and existing clients
Qualifications
- At least 8 years of relevant engineering design experience
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketchup for drawing and detail creation
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as STAAD, RAM, E-Tabs, MathCAD, TEDDS, ADAPT PT, and others
- Strong sense of urgency and self-discipline to meet client deadlines
- Attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Effective communication, leadership, and technical skills with a continuous focus on personal and staff development
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
