Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Aid in the management and direction of projects
  • Create complete sets of structural drawings and technical specifications independently
  • Train and mentor Engineers-In-Training (EITs) in structural engineering
  • Carry out structural design calculations, organize project activities, and prepare documents for submission, while adhering to a quality control program
  • Participate in construction phases of building projects in structural engineering
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and design team members during meetings and presentations
  • Identify project opportunities through networking with new and existing clients

Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of relevant engineering design experience
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketchup for drawing and detail creation
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as STAAD, RAM, E-Tabs, MathCAD, TEDDS, ADAPT PT, and others
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-discipline to meet client deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Effective communication, leadership, and technical skills with a continuous focus on personal and staff development
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
