About the role
The Structural Engineer will support project development and execution within the Engineering department. The role involves developing structural designs for industrial modular buildings, serving as the Engineer of Record (EOR), collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop structural designs for industrial modular buildings, including steel structures, connections, and anchoring systems.
- Serve as the Engineer of Record (EOR), ensuring safety, compliance, and quality of all project deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver effective project solutions.
- Create and review project submittals, specifications, and proposals for client and regulatory approvals.
- Conduct factory inspections to verify compliance with designs, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in steel design.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE); Structural Engineer licensure is a plus.
- Expertise in steel connection design and proficiency in tools like Excel, MathCAD, and structural analysis software such as RAM Elements and RAM Connections.
- Strong knowledge of US building codes and standards including IBC, ASCE, AISC, ASME, and API.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in steel design.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
- Experience with steel connection design and proficiency in relevant software.
- Knowledge of US building codes and standards.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
