About the role

The Structural/Geotechnical Senior Project Engineer is responsible for leading complex structural and geotechnical projects in the Frederick, MD area. This role requires extensive experience in project management, design, and construction oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams in the planning, design, and execution of structural and geotechnical projects.
  • Oversee the technical aspects of projects from conception through completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct regular progress reviews and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure project budgets are managed effectively and within scope.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in structural and geotechnical engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS).
  • Knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience with construction inspection and quality control processes.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
