Primary Responsibilities
- Organize and manage structural design efforts for multiple simultaneous projects while maintaining project budgets.
- Manage and review structural engineering drawings for assigned projects/work assignments including the preparation of plans, schedules and details.
- Review structural systems of primarily cold-formed steel framing for a variety of healthcare, commercial, retail, multi-family residential, industrial and institutional buildings nationwide.
- Review Structural calculations for submittal.
- Manage CAD and BIM Technicians to produce shop drawings and BIM models.
- Manage engineers on the team on larger projects.
- Assist with training and mentoring team members and technical skills training for professional growth and development.
- Assist with plan review for team members.
- Communicate with clients and maintain project schedules and design budgets.
- Help lead business development efforts for cold-formed projects, including identifying new opportunities and writing proposals.
- Develop and manage a portfolio of clients.
- Perform and lead the structural design of various building design projects. This includes development of structural design documents, calculations, and specifications.
- Perform construction administration duties.

Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering from a U.S. accredited college or university
- Minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in structural design of cold-formed steel building structures. Some experience with oversight is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of cold-formed steel design and light steel framing.
- Strong working knowledge of AISI standards for cold-formed steel framing projects.
- Ability to develop innovative solutions for complex problems.
- Leadership mentality and ability to work well with others.
- Good engineering judgement and decision making.
- Professional Engineer Licensure required. Illinois Structural Engineer Licensure preferred.
- Working knowledge of various structural analysis and design programs including CFS Designer & RISA.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Applicable U.S. based work experience
